Pilot Study on the Application of Effective Microorganisms (EM) in Sewerage Treatment | 2025

In 2025, Sustainable Resources Management (SRM) took part in a pilot study on the use of Effective Microorganisms (EM) technology in sewerage treatment, alongside government agencies, technical partners and research collaborators.

The project involved field trials at the Taman Pasir Putih Fasa 1 sewage treatment plant under JPP Sabah, where the team inspected treatment infrastructure and monitored the application of EM technology on site. The pilot concluded with a presentation of findings to stakeholders.
